ProSieben to show first 3D TV production
Jörn Krieger ©RapidTVNews | 07-10-2011German commercial TV broadcaster ProSieben will show a 3D TV production for the first time in its history.
On Halloween weekend all 7 episodes of the mystery series "Grimmsberg" will be screened in 3D in the night to 30 October 2011 from 01.55 CET.
The 3D signal will be transmitted in "side by side" mode on ProSieben's HD channel. For reception, viewers need an HD set-top-box (STB) , a 3D TV set and 3D glasses.
ProSieben will show the series in conventional 2D format on 29 October 2011 as part of its "Simpsons" marathon from 20.42 CET.
The series, of which each episode is 7 minutes long, was developed by graduates of the Ludwigsburg Film Academy in collaboration with production company teamworx. Following their TV broadcast, all episodes will also be available in 2D and 3D on the internet
